ข้าม

v. to cross, cross over, step over, skip.

ข้ามฟาก- to cross from one side of a river to the other;

ข้ามหน้า- to pass in front of, to be situated in front of, or over against, to be opposite; ข้ามหน้าข้ามตา- to affront, to offend by word or act, to show insufficient respect to, to over-step in propriety.

เขาข้ามเขตแดนไปแล้ว He has crossed the border.
